Formed in 1995, Larry H. Miller Charities (LHM Charities) is a nonprofit organization that functions as the charitable arm of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. Assistance from the nonprofit is directed toward groups and programs based in the communities where Miller companies conduct business. Attention generally focuses on issues that affect women and children, with an emphasis on health and education. Funding for LHM Charities enables the organization to continue making an impact. Funds are generated, in large part, through LHM companies and employee contributions, as well as donations from the general public.

Larry H. Miller built a legacy of giving back to the communities where he conducted business. Today, his wish to "Go about doing good until there is too much good in the world," is what inspires Gail Miller and the Miller family, as well as the entire Larry H. Miller Group of Companies and its employees to continue the legacy he started.

Generation Alive - February 2020

The Spokane LHM Charity committee gathered together at Bowdish Middle School to attend a Generation Alive assembly and present a donation of $5,000!

We got to watch their Action Team - made up of student leaders that go through a 14 week program - teach their peers about awareness of food insecurity, empowerment, compassion and empathy. Generation Alive works to develop the next generation of thinkers, leaders and doers to make the world a better place that we have made it.

The $5,000 donation will go to their 'Something to Eat' program, it will purchase 25,000 lbs. of rice that will be apart of nutritious meals benefiting several of the 70,000 food insecure people in our Spokane area.

Offset Student Loan Debt -October 2019
Spokane Public Schools recognized sixth grader Lilly-Anne Cowart, 11, at Mullan Road Elementary for her idea to help students whose lunch accounts have not been paid and their families are not able to bring them current. She talked to her father, Andrew Cowart (in back on left) who is the general manager at Larry H. Miller Honda, about wanting to do something to help. A summer promotion at the dealership was organized and raised $10,000 for the SPS Benevolence Fund. "We have a great team of sales guys who believe in helping the community," he said. "And once they heard it was Lilly - they love her - they got behind her 100%. … We're really committed to giving back to the community that we live in and raise our children in." Throughout July and August, the dealership donated part of the proceeds from each sale. Lilly often came by to check on their progress, which was marked by a thermometer graph and the signatures of car buyers.
