Riverfront Park is considered one of the most scenic urban parks in the nation! Riverside State Park
Riverside State Park is a 14,000-acre camping park along the Spokane and Little Spokane rivers. The park supports a wide variety of recreational activities and is rich in history. Freshwater marshes, running rivers, and beautiful countryside make up the terrain. The park also includes the Nine Mile Recreation Area, which is available for camping, picnicking, swimming, fishing and boating. 
Huntington Park
This park lays at the heart of the Spokane River on the south bank. It was redeveloped to give residents and visitors a close-up look at the awesome power of this great river. The original Washington Water Power Post Street substation cast's its shadow on the park in the morning and the spray of the lower falls hangs in the air throughout the day making Huntington Park a legacy to the city.

Gonzaga University
Founded in 1881, Gonzaga University is a private, four-year institution of higher education. More than 105 buildings dot the 131-acre campus overlooking the Spokane River. Bloomsday originated in 1977 and has been going strong ever since! It is a 12K race in which participants run or walk on a course that hits the best of Downtown Spokane.
